Guru Shikhar Overview
Guru Shikhar, situated at an altitude of 1,722 meters (5,650 feet) above sea level, is the highest point in Rajasthan and the entire Aravalli Range. The peak is named after Guru Dattatreya, an incarnation of the Hindu Trinity (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva), whose temple sits at the summit. Beyond its religious significance, Guru Shikhar offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding hills and plains. It is also home to the Mount Abu Observatory, operated by the Physical Research Laboratory.
