Jaswant Thada: Located very close to Mehrangarh Fort, this is a cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. It is often called the Taj Mahal of Marwar because it is made of intricately carved marble sheets. These sheets are extremely thin and polished so that they emit a warm glow when the sun shines. The grounds include a multi-story garden and a small lake.

Mandore Gardens: Before Jodhpur was founded, Mandore was the capital of the Marwar region. Today, it is a collection of temples, memorials and towering cliffs. The Mandore Gardens contain the cenotaphs of many former rulers of Jodhpur. These are not just simple tombs but are built like Hindu temples. The garden is also home to a large population of langur monkeys.

Toorji Ka Jhalra (Stepwell): This is a famous stepwell in the city that was built in the 1740s. It was submerged and filled with debris for decades, but has recently been restored. It has intricate sandstone carvings and is a great place for photography. The water is cool and clear and the stairs create a unique geometric pattern.

Clock Tower and Sardar Market: This is the busiest area of the old city. The clock tower is a popular landmark. The nearby Sardar Market is filled at small shops selling textiles, antiques, silverware and handicrafts. It is also the best place to try local street food, such as the famous Pyaaz Ki Kachori and Mirchi Vada.
