Itimad-ud-Daulah Overview
The Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah is a Mughal mausoleum often described as a 'jewel box'. Commissioned by Nur Jahan for her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, it was the first Mughal building to use white marble and extensive pietra dura inlay work. It is considered a draft of the Taj Mahal and sits in a tranquil charbagh garden on the banks of the Yamuna.
