Karni Mata Temple Overview
Located 30km from Bikaner in Deshnok, the Karni Mata Temple is home to over 25,000 black rats, known as 'Kabbas'. These rats are considered sacred and are believed to be the reincarnated descendants of Karni Mata. Spotting a white rat is considered exceptionally auspicious. The temple itself is a beautiful structure featuring silver gates and intricate marble carvings donated by the Maharaja of Bikaner, attracting devotees and curious travelers from across the globe.
